Metal Show

So last night i went to a metal show in town here at sussex. its fun to get out of the Bethany bubble and hang out with kids from the city. Plus i get to relate to the kids at the shows with our common interest in music. The metal scene here is actually pritty big. some kids at the school and i are starting to throw shows of our own. theres a local church here that wants us to throw one once a month at their church. just to get kids inside the church walls and realize christians are all uptight and such. should be good.

Boredom

so i get super bored here. there isnt much to do and when people leave campus without me it gets even worse. i wish there was more to do here but i mean it is Canada what else is there but play hockey and drink. And considering i dont do either of those im out of luck. speaking of drinking i heard a story of this 15 year old kid who was on a drinking team that went and competed against kids in college and was aparently really good at it. just an interesting fact for you. O WOW I JUST CHECKED THE MICHIGAN GAME AND THEY WON!!!! SWEET I DIDNT SEE THAT COMING AFTER THE 1ST QUARTER.

Softball

So we played 4 games of softball saturday. We lost every single one. We lost 2 badly 1 not so bad and 1 was very close and we lost in the bottom of the 7th. We didnt do good but i had alot of fun so i guess thats what counts.

Finally Found It!!!

If you know me well then you know i love to listen to Rush Limbaugh. The podcasts for him are 50 dollars. So i finally found a place where i can listen to him for free. Now when i come back i will know what is happening in the political world. Finally i can get a good analysis of whats going on.

Softball

So I went to the first softball practice. Luckily I get to play my favorite position, 3rd base. Its co-ed which im not super happy about but at least im getting to play. We have our first tournament this weekend at a rival christian college called Atlantic Baptist University. So with any luck we will send those Baptist praying they hadnt played us.

Ball Hockey

So obviously they play hockey here but since i cant ice skate well i play ball hockey. tonight was the first night this year. Im definately out of shape. I also played goal for half the game and wasnt any good at it. I'll stick to defense next time. Micke Mcneil played with us who is the oldest professor on campus. He actually scored most of our goals. He makes me feel bad about myself that he can last longer running than i can. Softball practice tomorrow. Hopefully that will go better.

Classes

So I've succesfully survived going to my classes once already. I have some that are fairly easy but two that will be killers. I've been reading my intro to christian ed book and it actually hasnt been that bad. Most of it was the history of christian ed starting in the OT up until the 21 century. Other books have been alot more difficult to read. In my synoptic gospels class we will be reading over 800 pages throughout the semester. The dorm life is awesome. Freshman get real nervous when you walk naked from the bathrooms to your bedroom. Its so fun to freak them out. The good thing here is that theres alot of good looking freshman girls and alot of goofy freshman guys so that jumps my chances up. We had our first chapel service in our 11 million dollar chapel last friday. We are having concercration services all this weekend. Ive decided to play intermerial soccer and play on the school orthodox softball team.
